Team H&R BLOCK is a cycling program that provides the opportunity for young talented riders to attend several high level races including NRC and UCI events. This gives the riders the chance to hone their skills and showcase their talents to advance in the sport with the goal of earning a professional contract. The Team is excited to announce that Sebastian Salas has been offered a spot on Team Exergy to represent them for the remainder of the 2011 season.
Team Exergy, a professional cycling team out of Boise, Idaho, has been following Sebastian’s progress all season. They feel that his strengths will enhance their rider roster at the upcoming US Pro Cycling Challenge where many of the top teams in the world will be represented including the top three finishers of the 2011 Tour de France. Sebastian is very excited to be a member of Team Exergy and to test himself against the world’s best riders.
Team H&R BLOCK has had a great season including results by Sebastian: 2nd place GC at Mt. Hood, 3rd place stage at Tour de Beauce, 7th at Canadian National Road Championships, as well as several other top 10 finishes at a few other NRC events, to mention a few. Sebastian represented Team H&R BLOCK for 2010 and 2011. During these two seasons with the Team, Sebastian has developed his skills to become one of the finest climbers in North America as well as a future Tour contender. It has been a real pleasure to have had him represent the program and on behalf of the riders, management and Team sponsors we wish Sebastian all the best for the upcoming US Pro Cycling Challenge, his opportunity with Team Exergy and his future endeavors in the sport.
